Dust jacket in very good condition, illustrated (Dorelle), authors photographs on back. Small scuff marks top and lower edge of spine and on corners. Blue cloth-covered boards, coat of arms in gilt on front cover, gilt titles on spine. Covers in Very Good condition. Endpapers foxed and stained but book internally clean, binding tight.

Fold-out area map at end of boook. Tipped in colour painting of a gathering near the Baviaans River, the area now having been marked by a cairn. The same illustration has been used on the dust jacket, a painting by Dorelle.

Pages [i-iv]v-ix 1-241.

The detailed history and genealogy includes the Pringle Arms, Seals and the surname, ancestry, emigration to the Cape and lists of the family groups according to name or farm/area names. A list of the christian names of the Pringle family and surnames of those other than Pringle.
