Agreement Between Messrs. Saber and Company and Richard Burbrook. Dated Kimberley 1st Sept 1881.

Six foolscap leaves (including cover sheet, double ruled in red) secured with a green ribbon, being the agreement by Joshua Saber to employ Richard Burbrook to prospect for the company. Four horizontal folds, first four leaves with writing on the recto only, fifth leaf signed by Burbrook, Saber and two witnesses on the recto and on the verso is an indenture dated the 6th of December, 1882, releasing Saber and Burbrook from all claims. Signed by both on the recto of the last leaf in the presence of R. Burdon, clerk to Mssrs. Lewis and Lewis of Ely Hall, Holborn. On the verso of the last leaf is a pencil note: “Kimberley. Prospecting for precious stones and Minerals S. Africa 1881”. Comes with previous bill of sale from Roger J. Knowles to previous owner, dated 19th September, 2010.

Overall very good condition, a little edge worn and the verso of last leaf is soiled at the folds.
