Harrison Forman, Do You Want to Fly? Illustrated (Sketches and Drawings by the Author).
The Comacrib Press, 1931. FIRST EDITION, photographs and diagrams to the text throughout, pp. [xii], 448, [4, Index], crown 8vo, original pebble-grained black cloth, backstrip and upper board lettered in gilt, speckled edges, dustjacket ( mutilated with mist part of the rear missing) and endpapers repeating an overall design by the author, near fine. Forman was a journalist, photographer and explorer, the major part of whose studies and travel focused on the Orient. This book relates to his early time in China, when he sold aircraft and trained pilots; though there is necessarily a certain amount of technical and legal information, the book is - the author considers- 'designed to direct a special appeal to the layman in the aviation world'. The publisher was an imprint of the Commercial and Credit Information Bureau.
