Original dark maroon coloured boards with gilt titling on the spine and decoratively blind stamped on the upper board. viii prelims, 106 pages, 10 hand coloured plates including frontis, followed by 2 pages advertising other works by the author. Plates have been carefully checked and all are present. Plate \"vi\" can cause confusion because the \"i\" is so faint that it looks like \"V\". CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has a little wear and a few marks, but is fresh and clean in overall appearance. The end papers are toned and the front end paper has a pen gift inscription. Hopefully you can see the water stain at the bottom edge of the title page. This stain occurs on most pages, but is fairly faint after the first few pages, but a slight buckle to the bottom edge of most pages is present.
