This is the story of the way in which a small group of people survived an onslaught of large numbers of Shona fighters during the 1896 rebellion in what was then Rhodesia. A patrol sent from Salisbury to rescue the Mazoe party succeeded in the face of heavy fire in bring the party to safety. An exciting and inspiring story.
