41 + 70 + ccxxi pages, engraved folding diagram of the apparatus used in the measurement, 15 sketch plans, half black leather worn along edges and at the corners, brown cloth sides - with the binders ticket of Saul Solomon on the front free endpaper, foxing on the title page but otherwise the contents are good.

Includes a two page, \'Opinion of Sir T. Maclear, Astronomer Royal, and Charles Bell, Esq., Surveyor-General, on the substantial value of the Trigonometrical Survey executed by Captain Bailey, R.E.\' They conclude that his work is substantial and will be of lasting value.
