353 pages, colour frontispiece - Flamingoes nesting in the Spanish Marisma, 19 coloured plates with captions on the tissue guards, 39 black and white plates, numerous black and white text illustrations, working loose at the front hinge on the half title page, Rowland Ward Ticket – Nairobi and London on the front paste down end paper, uncut edges, green cloth spine gilt, worn at the top and bottom of the spine and the corners, a good copy.
