A presentation copy inscribed by Bleek on the front free endpaper "With the Author's Compliments". An early collection of 42 traditional fables, translated from the originals & including fables about jackals, tortoises, baboons, lions, sun & moon etc. Small 8vo. 94pp. plus a 31pp. preface being a letter from Bleek to the dedicatee, Sir George Grey and a 32pp. publisher's catalogue at the rear.

In the original green blind stamped cloth which is a little marked with some bumping of the corners and slight fraying at the extremes of the spine, otherwise a very good clean tight unmarked and unfoxed copy.
