Rossing Uranium Limited in Namibia began production in 1976 and now operates the largest open pit uranium mine in the world. This large book has been produced from original paintings by the well-known Namibian artist, Christine Marais. The book combine views of many aspects of the uranium operation, together with illustrations of some of the remarkable desert flora which are found in the vicinity of the mine. Much of the flora is unique to the Namib region and so is a treasured part of our heritage.
