From the foreword: Johann Wolffgang Heydt's Allerneuster Geographisch- und Topographischer Schauplatz von Africa und Ost-Indien was published at Wilhermsdorff in 1744: Mentzel (I 28) says at Heydt's own expense and that he 'lost all his money' in doing so......He was at Table Bay from January 25 (1741) to March 16 (his account and the Diaries), in this time making the five plates here reproduced.
