Czech (Kenneth) An Annotated Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books 1785 to 1999 page 277: Sykes relates his military duties in Sudan along the Nile but also mixes in some exciting elements of big-game hunting. There are two chapters on stalking elephant, one on hippopotamus, and one on rhinoceros, as well as a dash of antelope hunting. Major Hobday's illustrations are particularly good.
