In 1963 the short-lived Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland came to an end. Southern Rhodesia remained a white governed territory and its electorate turned to the Rhodesian Front under Ian Smith to restore order to a deteriorating political situation. Ken Flower, the Deputy Commissioner of the British South Africa Police, accepted the task of creating a Secret Service which was tasked to infiltrate and destroy terrorist movements which were supported by the British Socialist government as well as the Soviets and Red China. He was also required to keep open covert international lines of communication. In this book Ken Flower recounts the intrigue ad double dealing of this period of Southern African history.
