Hard cover bound in brown cloth and has 672 pages. Pages are trimmed and there is a top stain on the top edge. Beautiful gilt embellishment on the front cover and gilt titles to the spine. B/W Illustrations, plates, portraits, maps and facsimiles throughout the book. Head and heel are slightly bumped with light marks to the spine. Dust jacket condition is fair with some closed tears and marks. The book is slightly cocked and the pages are a bit flushed. Binding of the book is tight. Overall the book is in very good condition.
