Publisher's brown cloth binding with titles in gilt on the spine and embossed gilt design of crossed scimitars on the front panel.

Binding is solid and boards have almost no wear. Internally the book is clean and the pages are white with only a tape ghost on both the front and rear endpapers. The original dust jacket is complete with minimal age-associated wear. The jacket panels and spine are clean and not soiled as is usually found. There are two tape ghosts on the inside of the jacket as per images but overall it remains a good example. Contemporary South African bookshop ticket (Maskew Miller Bookshop, Cape Town) on the bottom of the front flap. This copy still has its original 'Lawrence of Arabia Memorial' brochure that was loosely inserted by the publishers.

672pp. Illustrated.

All maps and portraits of the various personalities Lawrence describes are present. Of note is the incorrect page numbers for the line drawing titled 'A Forced Landing'. In the list of illustrations it is incorrectly indicated as being on pages 302-303 when it is in fact on pages 304-305. This error was corrected in later impressions.
