vii, 42 pages, 2 folding plans – one as frontispiece, 4 illustrations, original printed beige card wrappers with new new maroon cloth back. The title on the upper cover reads, ‘A Military Episode in the Transvaal, 1880 – 81.

A typed list laid down inside the back cover lists ‘Names of the soldiers who perished at Potchefstroom in the 1888-1 war.’
