The first serious overland expedition up the West Coast in search of mineral wealth in 1685, by the then Governor of the Cape, who was accompanied by a small army of retainers. This version taken from the so-called Dublin text.

183 pp with 44 bw plates and sketch map. In original green linen-covered boards, of which the front and spine are in good condition, but the back shows sign of having been drenched, leaving some slight stain and rippling of cloth. Contents of the book are tight and clean throughout.
