A special edition to commemorate the Centenary of the Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902. This publication is limited to 600 copies and this is copy number 23. 95 pages and index 5 pages. Inevitably Simon's Town was drawn into the war in a big way, being the Royal Navy's base in South Africa HMS Powerful brought 400 men of the Yorkshire Light Infantry in a rush from Mauritius and thousands more had set sail from England.
