A fine original double mounted photograph of Milner by Duffus Bros. Johannesburg, signed on the first mount "Milner 8.3. 05". The image measures 20x16cms. and in the mount it measures 25.6x17.4cms. and is in very good condition. Lord Milner (1854-1925), statesman and colonial administrator. His book, England in Egypt, was first published in 1892. Milner was Governor of the Cape of Good Hope (1897-1901), and administrator (1900-02) and Governor (1902-05) of the Transvaal and Orange River Colonies. He was the High Commissioner for South Africa (1897-1905).
