The author’s hunting party bagged gazelle, rhinoceros, hartebeest, lion, oryx, and lesser kudu, as well as experiencing some hair-raising encounters with leaopards. The rhino Peel bagged was hit eleven times and severely injured a gunbearer before finally succumbing.’
