26pp. Very good thin brown card covers with titles in black on the front cover. Stapled at spine as issued. Sraples a little rusty. The text is in very good condition. Ex-Imperial War Museum Library with a ‘Withdrawn’ stamp on the front free endpaper and another o the title page. Contains details of latitudes and longitudes of cities and towns in South Africa, variations of the compass, methods of finding the South Pole, a twelve page calendar for October 1901 - September 1902 with details of the daily sunrise and sunset, the moon’s phases and historical events, the climate, crops grown, distances by rail, the measurements of rifles, carbines and revolvers, military terms in Afrikaans and Dutch, rate of marching, a condensed first aid section, Useful Memoranda (including the Morse Code, the size of military camps and accommodation) etc. and a wages table.  Rare.
