This title is scarce with its full complement of maps and engravings as most copies turn up with either maps, plates or both missing.

Re-cased in the original light brown cloth covered boards with gilt titling on the spine and a gilt decoration on the upper boards and blind stamped decorations on both boards. Pale yellow end papers. xi prelims, 487 pages followed by errata page, two folding maps, 13 engraved tail pieces and 9 black and white full page engravings.This copy is collated and complete with both maps and 22 engravings.

CONDITION DETAILS: The original cloth used to re-case this book is especially worn and faded on the spine, but the decorative gilt pictorial device on the upper board is still clear. There is some foxing and spotting throughout and on the plates.
