96 p., [9] plates of tipped-in glazed collotypes, fold-out engraving of an "Ideal View of the American Rapids", an engraving of a drawing by Thomas Moran of the woods on Goat Island, 4 fold-out maps in the text, and two maps in the rear map pocket. The photographs were taken by George Barker, and the reproductions made by the Heliotype Printing Company. Excellent images depict the Falls, the villages around them on the American & Canadian side, & the eroding banks. Presentation slip from Gardner laid in. Book overall in very clean condition, but for a chip in the bottom of the spine and wear to lower edge of back board.
