Czech (Dr. Kenneth) An Annotated Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books 1785-1999 page 67: A rather scarce Rowland Ward publication, the first issue was published with a map and map pocket, while the second issue apparently lacked both. This work details the author's 1910 -11 expedition on which he bagged gazelle, leopard and hippo near the Atbara River. Continuing on to the Setit, he shot lion, buffalo, kudu and other plains game, some from a machan near a watering hoel. Cotton then trekked to the Rahad and Dinder Rivers where he collected lion, buffalo, hippo and a variey of plains game, The nine month safari cost Cotton 750 Pounds.
