Provenance: Mercer Beazley - photo of author with an older man (Beasley?) on inside cover, with writing on lower edge and back; "The Princeton Calendar" clipping stapled to first leaf, nominating "Damn Kweer" Kreer '41, captain of the tennis team, "Man of the week." (Note the pencil writing under this clip mentions "Counter espionage" -- according to his obit., "In 1941, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and became a Captain in the Counterintelligence Corps, also working with the OSS. At the liberation of Paris, Dan was the first American into the city.")
Unpublished: Mercer Beazley's copy with tipped in photo, inscribed by the author (signed "Cap.") to the dedicatee, his coach, Mercer Beasley, said to be one of the greatest of all tennis coaches, and author of the influential 'How to Play Tennis: The Beasley System' (NY: 1933). No copies located on OCLC.
