Original hand crafted bindings by master craftsman Peter Carstens with dark green leather, gilt titling on the spines and hand marbled paper on the boards.
Decorated end papers. Volume one has vi prelims, 330 pages and the second volume has iv prelims and continues the pagination from page page 331 to page 606. Both volumes are profusely illustrated with distribution maps, full colour photographs, etc.
