Steven Klein Fashion Photograph of AMY WESSON Inscribed to Polly Melllen

An important association linking a young fashion photographer to a woman at the height of her career.  Polly Allen Mellen worked as a stylist and fashion editor for more than 60 years at Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.  In 1993, the NYT quoted Ms. Mellon on working with Steven Klein, "Polly Mellen, the creative director of Allure, said, "Except for Steven Meisel, I've never seen someone grow as fast as this boy has in a year." (NYT Egos & Ids. Jan. 10, 1993,)   This image is dated NYC 1997, when Mellen was the creative director of Allure.
