Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians). Original mid-green boards with gilt lettering and regimental vignette to front board, gilt lettering to spine.

This book entitled " Strathcona's Horse, South African War, 1900-1901" is published by the Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) Regimental Society as part of 'Celebration 2000'. It is the fifth of a six volume historical series undertaken to honour the Regiment's history and in particular to mark the centenary of the raising of the Strathcona's Horse by Lord Strathcona to fight in the South African War.

The book contains the diary of the Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) Museum, the official list of officers, non-commissioned officers and men who served with the Lord Strathcona's Corps in South Africa, a list of the orders and decorations of those who served in South Africa, a sketch map and glossary prepared by Mr. Stephen Mills, and a foreword by Mr. David Bercuson, University of Calgary.

Minor changes were made to the Lord Strathcona's Corp diary to correct errors in spelling and grammar and to standardize dates, place names and ranks. Page side comments have been added as points of clarification or amplification.
