Wonderful original ink on paper drawing/cartoon by renowned South African cartoonist Dov Fedler. It features Margaret and Dennis Thatcher packing for their trip to South Africa in 1990 shortly after Mandela's release from prison. They are holding up a 'Release Mandela' T-shirt and Maggie says 'Yes, Let's take that along Dennis - it may remind him.' A superb contemporary cartoon done in 1990. Dov Fedler has just won the 2015 South African Jewish Achiever award in the category of Arts, Sport, Science and Culture - no mean achievment bearing in mind the breadth of the category. Some light creasing but in nice state. Original cartoons contemporary with Mandela's release from prison are unusual.
