Publishers navy cloth cover with gilt elephant vignette. Gilt title on spine with gilt top page edge. Inconspicuous blindstamp on title-page. Bookplate to front pastedown. This copy is in better than average condition, as corroborated by the photographs attached to this auction.

"One of the true classics of African big-game hunting, this work recounts the author's elephant hunting exploits primarily along the Luwegu River in German East Africa, and the Locheringo River in Portuguese East Africa.
