A.R. Colquhoun (1848-1914) was explorer who spent his early years in the Far East. He was appointed Administrator of Mashonaland by Cecil John Rhodes from 1890-1892. During 1904-1905, he visited Southern Africa. He gives an overview of the religious, economic and political aspirations of the indigenous peoples as well as the colonial population, and a socio-cultural view of the Afrikaner people. This beautifully bound book is from the library of the late Frikkie Botha.
