Clean interior, no inscriptions, 9 photographic plates, 19 colour plates, 53 text figures, 35 text maps, xiii, 624 pages, folded map in sleeve at rear of book. Unclipped dust jacket price £4 4s, net, has only very minor edgewear. This beautifully illustrated 1st edition published in 1954 is in fine condition with very good to fine dust jacket.
