4 volumes: 322 + 323 + 416 + 545 pages, numerous illustrations – some full page photographs but mostly line drawings in the text, folding colour may at the end of volume 2, original light green cloth with the gilt coat of arms on the upper covers (the cloth is a somewhat dull and stained), volumes 1 & 2 have new endpapers, volumes 3 & 4 have the original patterned endpapers (the hinges of volume 4 are split but are holding on the string ties), top edges gilt, other edges uncut, some corners bumped, contents crisp, book plate of Peter Steyn on all four front paste-down endpapers.
