Original orange cloth boards with green linear decorations and gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. xii prelims, errata slip, 603 pages, profusely illustrated in black and white, 7 maps including the folding map at the rear. This is the United States edition of May 1902 published by Funk & Wagnalls Company in New York. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has a little wear and soiling, but overall a decent copy.
2)\"A Narrative of the Boer War: Its Causes and Results\" by Thomas Fortesque Carter. Original red cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. viii prelims, 574 pages followed by 2 pages of the publisher\'s advertisements. This is the third edition published by John Macqueen, London, 1900. CONDITION DETAILS: The spine is darkened and has a few small holes, see image. The free front end paper has a pen name and the end papers are browned.
3) \"Rights and Wrongs of the Transvaal War\" by Edward T. Cook. Original red cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. xi prelims, 393 pages followed by a total of 34 pages of the publisher\'s advertisements. This is the \"New and Revised\" edition published by Edward Arnold, London, 1902. CONDITION DETAILS: The fore edge has been roughly sanded, presumably to remove a stain. Overall a decent copy.
