How it works

Two consecutive volumes of Books On Egypt And Chaldea - The Chapters Of Coming Forth By Day or, The Theban Recension of the BOOK OF THE DEAD - The Egyptian Hieroglyphic Text Edited From Numerous Papyri, both first printings of the second edition (first 1897), of Budge\'s compilation of these important papyri, Volume XXVIII containing a Preface To The Second Edition, and a Description Of The Papyri, of which chapters I-LXIV (1-64)are herein reproduced,. Volume XXIX contains chapters LXV-CLII (65-152), entirely in hieroglyphs. Books\' condition: both volumes in good condition, endpapers quite heavily browned, texts good with no markings, some gatherings cracked (vol.28 more so), page edges browned, boards good though with patches of erosion/damage concentrated around the spine areas and front covers; and vol.28 rear hinge threadbare in places. Bookplates of The International Freemasonic Order pasted to f.p.e.p\'s, as well as bookplates of \'Percy A.Peall\'. This 1910 first printing edition is quite scarce.
