This bookbinder stain glass is after a 1568 by Jost Amman from A True Description Of All Trades Published In Frankfort In The Year 1568.
When I acquired this stain glass in the early 1980’s, together with one depicting printing, also after Amman, I was told it came from an old department store in Paris. I have not been able to verify. I have sold the printing one since.

The black and white llustration from the Mergenthaler linotype co. is provided for reference and is not included in the lot.
