How it works

Register

This is not a limited edition although it is bound in the same style as that edition. The publisher, A.A. Balkema, was well known for his frequent changes to an edition, often keeping unbound book blocks and changing binders when the trade called for more copies of a title. In this case, it is likely that he commissioned more copies of the De Luxe Limited edition than required to be bound, and this copy was surplus to the 200 numbered copies.

Original dust jacket. The de luxe binding with a leather spine, raised bands, and gilt titling and blue cloth boards with the publisher's device on the upper board. 12 text pages and 119 annotated illustrations.

CONDITION DETAILS: The dust jacket has some edge wear and creases. A bookseller label on the front paste down.
