First Edition, 1930; Methuen & Co. Ltd., London. With dust jacket. Duodecimo, 13 x 16.5 cm., vii [1] 215 pp. Red cloth boards with gilt titles to front and spine. Gilt illustration of Christopher Robin carrying a fishing rod to front board. Illustrated title page with a small picture of lambs frolicking around a tree, with title ‘The Christopher Robin Birthday book compiled by AA Milne Decorated by E. H. Shepard’ and ‘Sad? Why should I be sad? It's my birthday. The happiest day of the year’. Illustrated dust jacket in pink and cream, with black titles to front and spine and publisher’s advertisement to rear.

A wonderful date book for birthdays. Each page features a black and white illustration and two dates of the year, each with a character quote; along with blank space for the owner to enter birthdays. Completely unused and blank throughout.

Condition: A very good copy, only with previous owner’s name to ffep. A very good dust jacket, with minor chips to spine tips and corners.
