Original khaki coloured cloth boards with red titling on the spine and and the upper board with a cross design and other decorations. This is the complete run of all four issues plus the Supplement to Souvenir No. 4, which starts with the last days of the campaign, casualties, promotions and ends with the return to London. Each of the issues is separately paginated, black and white photographs, advertisements, etc. This "Complete Edition" has its own title page and the complete contents of each issue, but differs from the earliest issues which were sold as they were printed, each separate issue stapled with paper wrappers, invariably resulting in those sets lacking completeness.
CONDITION DETAILS: The binding is still firm and intact but has soiling. The end papers are browned. Internally clean, with no pen names, etc. The paper used to print the text and illustrations is still white and clean, making this copy decidedly above average.
