Ex-library, First Edition Hardcover Octavo bound in red cloth boards and is paginated as follows: i-xxii, [6], 219, xxiii-xlv, 14 lithographic portraits, wood-engraved tail-pieces. Black titling on the front board only with marks on the front/back boards.

Head/heal and corners are bumped and rubbed, also with some wear along the edges and on the spine.

Black and white illustrated portraits throughout, this is a detailed account of the first English cricket tour to South Africa under the captaincy of Charles Aubrey-Smith; with adverts to the front/rear of the book.

Some marks on the front/back pastedowns and end-papers, on the front pastedown, also has previous owner's inscription on the front pages, overall, the book is in fair condition.
