Mendelssohn (Sidney) South African Bibliography volume 1 page 976: This work forms one of the series of practical handbooks issued under the title of "Weale's Series," and it gives "a description of the rise, progress, and condition of the South African Colony of Natal." There is a chapter entitled "The Settler's Life and Position" which affords the intending emigrant valuable information, and the publication contains many particulars respecting the industries and resources of the Colony.
