First five bands in original dusts, the sixth, Vol. iv, is in a reprinted dust-jacket. The elusive Plate 59 in vol. 4 is present.

CONDITION: Very Good. Some mild age-toning present with few minor and light marks on an endpaper or two. Vol. iv show a bit darker age-toning. Set is in very good dust-jackets, some with a small closed tear or two, as well as a few small nicks out of the edges, now in clear Brodart sleeves

Original green cloth, gilt, hardcovers, top edges of text-blocks are gilded.

The set is Ex-Libris the collection of H. Herre, the first curator of the Stellenbosch world renowned Botanical Gardens. Pasted in on front end paper of vol. 4. is the ex libris label of Mr. Herre. Two letters addressed to H. Herre are also loosely present in set.
