With multiple folding table at the rear showing the "Statement of Rand Ore Reserves" for particular gold mines. Contains also discussions by Stephen J. Lett, F.H. Hatch, Kirby Thomas, H. Foster Bain, David Draper, T.A. Rickard, E.T. Mellor, Waldemar Lindgren, J.W. Gregory and J.F. Kemp; and author's replies to their discussions.

Hardcovers; Text in English; Collation complete - Half-title, [1], Illustrated frontispiece, Title page, [vi-xx], 400 pages (including Index), with 65 illustrations, 2 folding diagrams, 1 multiple folding table and numerous diagams and tables; Binding little bumped to the extremities, spine and extremities slightly faded, otherwise binding is sound, tight and firm. Signs of slight starting splitting of the text block between pages 272-273, but no crakings or loosen pages and binding remains whole, strong and secure. The content/text block is very bright and clear, no marks and only a few pages with a few light and small foxing dots. A sound copy.
