We are offering here a sought after second edition from 1890 of this scarce mining work (the only copy selling on internet at the moment!) bound together with a third edition from 1893; plus additional excerpt of 48 pages with a two chapters: "The prejudices against the Gold Mines of the Transvaal" and "The Future of Deep Levels". The second edition from 1890 contains 6 folding color MAPS and 6 figures in the text, the monographs of more than 600 companies, numerous tables and statistics about gold extraction and production, the translation of the mining law in the Transvaal, the Royal Chart of the British South African Company, etc. The third edition from 1893 contains 3 folding maps, 15 figures in the text, numerous tables and statistics about gold extraction and production, etc.

Binding worn as usually for the age, mostly to the extremities which are little bumped. Text block/pages in excellent condition, very bright and clear, little yellowing, no foxing throughout except the title page of the second edition, maps also in excellent condition. Excerpt with little chipping to the right page edges.
