First Edition, Octavo hardcover, bound in green cloth boards and has 360 uncut pages.
Gilt decoration on the front board and gilt titles to the spine. Head/heal and corners are bumped/rubbed, also has some marks on the front/back boards.
The book contains numerous black and white illustrations of portraits, landscapes, places, a frontispiece with a tissue-guard and a large fold-out map of North Eastern Rhodesia (with a tear on the left side).
There is some foxing on the half-title page, and throughout. Offsetting on front/rear endpapers and has previous owner’s inscription on the front pastedown.
Overall, the book and binding are in very good condition.
