The incredibly scarce first five issues of this very early South African golf publication about which I have been unable to glean much information despite a fairly extensive search. The issues comprise Vol.1 No.1 (December 1934) to Vol.2 No. 1 (January 1936). These 4to. magazines in the original decorated wraps are remarkably in near fine condition for their age and comprise some 160pp. in all. Much coverage of the golfers of the time including Sid and Jock Brews and the young Bobby Locke, together with many articles on South African golf courses and some wonderful period advertisements for golf apparel and equipment. There is some browning around the staples at the spines, but otherwise the set is unflawed and possibly a unique survival.
