Signed limited edition: xix + 549 pages, 24 colour plates (including the frontispiece) mounted on green paper with captions on the tissue guards, 12 illustration printed with tint, 66 line drawings in the text, decorated endpapers, publisher’s full vellum decorated and titled gilt on the upper cover and the spine – the vellum is unusually clean and bright, brown silk ties – upper tie slightly frayed, top edge gilt, others uncut – some pages unopened, light browning of the text – some sections which appear to be printed on better quality paper are less affected, a very good copy.
Of this large paper edition of the Ingoldsby Legends only 560 copies have been printed, of which 500 are for sale in England and 50 in America. This is number 435 of the English Edition, signed by Arthur Rackham.
