Quarter dark green leather binding with gilt titling on the spine, title label, with green buckram boards and a gilt buffalo horn decorative device on the upper board. Top edge gilt.
Brown pictorial end papers. iv + xxi prelims, 428 pages followed by a coloured sketch map, coloured frontispiece and title page, 12 full page illustrations and 21 vignettes of animal heads as chapter headings and tail pieces,
CONDITION DETAILS: The crease across the spine is probably a flaw in the leather and issued as such by the publishers, but the light mark above the title label was probably caused by sun light. Overall a clean copy.
