A very good plus clean copy of the first edition of the first Olive Schreiner biography written by her husband shortly after her death. 8vo. 414 pages. Fore and lower edges uncut. In the original green cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Mild offsetting to the endpapers and a UK dealer's penciled price (erasable) of 65 pounds on the front free endpaper, otherwise a very sharp copy which has some light spotting of the edges, occasionally intruding slightly to the page margins. In the scarce dustwrapper which is unclipped but has some chipping at the extremes of the spine (which is sunned) and a 4x3cm. triangular chip at top of the front panel adjacent to the spine.
