Czech (Kenneth) An Annotated Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books 1785 -1999, page 213 -214: One of the most famous of all African hunting titles this describes the slaughter of railroad workers building the Uganda Railway by a pair of man eating lions. The first half of the book relates Patterson's efforts to destroy the man-eaters, while the remaining chapters detail efforts to hunt rhino near Tsavo, then lion and a variety of pains game on the Athi River.
