This brilliant and moving book has many facets. Mrs Millin set out in 1951 to write the story of her life as she saw it. She had travelled widely and known people of interest and importance. She had written not only many novels, the standard book of South Africa, a diary of the war and other books, but also famous biographies of Rhodes and Smuts.
Unclipped dustcover, and the book has a tipped in additional title page(CNA and Kingstons) following the original Faber & Faber title page. Also included is a four page letter from Millin to an admirer/friend.
